Gently Untangling Trauma

Trauma isn’t just what happened. It’s what still lives in the nervous system. Sometimes, talking about it helps, however sometimes, it reactivates what you were never meant to carry alone.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and the Rewind Technique offer gentle, non-invasive ways to access and release the emotional charge of trauma, without needing to relive or re-explain every detail.

These aren’t quick fixes. They’re regulated, research-backed pathways to emotional safety, updated memory, and restored inner calm.

What Is EMDR?

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help the brain reprocess distressing memories. This helps the Nervous system complete the story

This means you can:

  • Access a traumatic or stuck experience
  • Stay safely grounded in the present
  • Let the body and mind update that memory’s meaning

EMDR is especially effective for:

  • PTSD and single-incident trauma
  • Childhood emotional or relational wounds
  • Intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, or triggers
  • Shame that feels “baked in”

Sessions move at your pace, honouring the body’s timing, not forcing the process, but partnering with it.

What Is the Rewind Technique?

The Rewind Technique: Safe, Fast, and Non-Invasive

This technique works by accessing the “film reel” of memory and gently altering how it’s stored without needing to talk through it in detail.

You’ll be guided into a relaxed, alert state where:

  • The traumatic memory is visualised “as if it’s a movie”
  • You remain emotionally detached and in control
  • The nervous system gets the signal: this is over now

Rewind is especially helpful for:

  • Phobias, panic, and flashbacks
  • Sexual assault or accident trauma
  • When verbal processing feels too overwhelming
  • People who are “done talking but not done healing”

These Techniques Work Well Within Coaching & Therapy.

EMDR and Rewind don’t replace deeper therapeutic work but they can unlock it. When the body feels safe again, insight can land. Whether you’re in counselling, coaching, or just beginning your healing journey, these tools support emotional regulation and integration.

They help make space. They lower the noise.

Standalone Packages.

If you would like to book REWIND or EMDR sessions without committing to regular therapy, the following standalone options are available.

  • Rewind Technique: 3 x 60-minute sessions: ideal for single-event trauma, phobias, and when you want a focused, brief intervention. Many people notice lasting change within just a few sessions
  • EMDR: 6 x 60-minute sessions: recommended for more complex or layered experiences. This gives time to prepare your nervous system, reprocess memories safely, and fully integrate the changes.

Both packages include:

  • Pre-session consultation to determine suitability and approach
  • Bespoke preparation and grounding techniques tailored to you
  • Aftercare guidance and integration tools
