👉 GET IN TOUCH

At the heart of my work is a simple truth: shame softens in the presence of authentic honour. I'm not here to fix or rescue anyone, I'm here to witness, to validate, and to walk alongside people as they return to themselves. For me, this work isn't about becoming shameless, it's about becoming whole, reclaiming identity through authentic honour, and returning to a compassionate sense of self-worth.

I have specialised experience working with adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), anxiety, attachment issues, bereavement, birth trauma, miscarriage and baby loss, sexual trauma and rape, domestic violence, and pre-trial support. I've also worked with many clients facing stress, relationship issues and life transitions (divorce, separation, redundancy, retirement, relocation), low self-esteem and shame, childhood neglect and abuse, chronic illness, PMS, PMDD and menopause, self-harm, panic attacks, and issues relating to spirituality. I aim, as far as I'm able, to create inclusive and accessible environments for everyone. With specialised training in neurodiversity, including ADHD, ASD and AuDHD, and enriched by my RNIB certification, I develop strategies that embrace your individual strengths and difficulties.

My focus is on helping you build resilience and gain deeper insight into what's affecting your emotional wellbeing. By understanding these challenges together, we work collaboratively towards improving your mental health. Integrating CBT, person-centred therapy, attachment theory, and elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and systemic theory allows me to create an experience that's personal to you.

Alongside my work at Place to Talk Therapies, I also work as an associate counsellor at Poole Therapies, where, amongst other clients, I support students completing their MA or PhD research while on international placements. I've also worked at STARS, a specialised sexual trauma agency in Dorset, providing counselling to clients who have experienced recent sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse or domestic violence.

Before training as a counsellor, I worked as the Family Liaison Officer for Family Counselling Trust (Dorset), and before that, as a swimming teacher. My working life has also included roles as a Registered Midwife and Registered General Nurse. I'm married with a grown-up family, and I love living on the South Coast of England, where I enjoy walking my springer spaniel along the beach and through the surrounding countryside.

Alongside 1-1 counselling, I also offer clinical supervision for counsellors and counselling students. Find out more about SUPERVISION
